Cherry blossom dress

Posted by Carina Thavelin

The dress with the cherry blossoms is finished and I’m really happy with it. The fabric is a soft faux suede in a wonderful olive green color. I love all shades of green.

When I want to repeat an embroidery I usually print out template that I place on the pattern pieces to see how it will look. Then it is really easy to place it by using the Precise Positioning feature in the machine. This is one of my favorite feature and I use it every time I embroider to check the placement of the motif. Sometimes just the center or corners and sometimes several different points to make sure it’s right.

It might be a bit tricky to learn but invaluable and very accurate. You can find this feature on creative sensation pro, creative 4.5, creative 3.0 in Pfaff’s current line and previous models creative sensation, creative 4.0, creative vision and creative 2144, 2170.

You can find more information on how the Precise Positioning works in your manual. Make sure you try it next time you embroider!

P.S You will find this embroidery as a free download in my previous blog post! D.S

Hi Roesmart,
Happy you like it, I am sure it will work on a jersey as well. Just make sure to use a suitable stabilizer. On a jersey I prefer a sticky water souluble or a tear-away underneath and a light weight water soluble on top.
Good Luck

Hi Diana,
I thought about adding more direction but I hesitated about which machine to use. I will create a blogpost today with two different step-by-step instructions on the creative sensation. Hope it helps.

das Muster auf dem Kleid sieht super aus.Herzlichen Dank für´s zeigen
Dieses Stickmuster möchte ich auf Jersey (wenig elastisch) sticken, hoffentlich versinkt es nicht in den Maschen!

I thought there would be better instructions on how to use precise positioning. I have yet to figure it out and have had my machine for 3 1/2 years. Could you give more instructions right from the beginning?

Thanks a bunch. I haven't tried the embroidery on my Pfaff yet. I usually do minimal embroidery on my Viking, where I don't have to move the hoop.
