Precise Positioning

Posted by Carina Thavelin

After last week’s post I got requests about more detailed instructions on how exactly the Precise Positioning Feature works. I hesitated about adding it to my post because there are several different machines with the feature, creative sensation pro, creative 4.5, creative 3.0 in Pfaff’s current line and previous models creative sensation, creative 4.0, creative vision and creative 2144, 2170, and they look slightly different.

But I found two step-by-step instructions created for the creative sensation that would be helpful.

Here is a step-by-step instruction for Basic Design Positioning on creative 3.0

Good Luck!

Hi Virginia,
The Precise Positioning feature can be tricky but after practicing a few times I'm sure you will get the hang of it! :) I couldn't live without it!
Here is a link to our support page on our website were you can download the techniques book for creative vision.
There are two exercises you can do.

You find it under documents.

When it comes to the embroidery area there is an "empty" space at the top end of the hoop. I can understand that it seems odd but this area can not be used since the machine needs it for the presser foot and IDT lever to move freely against the hoop edge.

Good luck with your embroidering
Best Regards

Hi, Carina,
I've been trying to figure out the precise positioning myself I have a creative vision 5.0 hoping to upgrade real soon. I also have another issue I'm trying to figure out when it comes to the hoops why is it we can't seem to utilize the entire hoop, I'm always getting the message outside the hoop, it seems we waste at least 2 1/2 inches with the way it shows the center of the hoop, I'm new to machine embroidering. I have the 6D Premier software and everything so all and all I'm still learning.

Thank you,
Virginia

Hi Carol,
The basic precise positioning exercise was created for the creative 3.0. I'm not sure which three designs you are refering to but we do not have any more exercises right now.
Best Wishes.

6/23/2015 I just found this site concerning precise positioning, I have a Creative Sensation Machine, I noticed for this machine the design for basic precise positioning leaf pattern 1 is design # 30 not #56. Did you have projects for using these designs for these 3 designs ? I plan to practice these designs.
