Dog coat

Posted by Carina Thavelin

This is Morris, he is a 3.5 year old Mini Pincher. Being a skinny guy with nothing but muscles he needs to wear clothes at cold winter time.

Personalizing his clothes is really fun. This time he got a grey wool coat with an embroidered M and reflective stripes along the back. Both functional and cute.

The M is the Square Serif font under Monogram in the software.

I love using the zig-zag stitch as a decoration, and think it is a undervalued stitch. Maybe because we all remember having to zig-zag all the edges….sooo boooooring. But that was before the sergers! Here I used it for both the binding and when I attached the reflective ribbons.

I think it turned out great and Morris is warm and happy.

Thank you Karen,
Nice to hear from you, hope everything is well! :)
Unfortunately I do not have any instructions for this. I just took one of his coats and used it as a pattern when I cut a new one.
That is probably the easiest way to do it since all dogs have different measurements and Morris is a really small mini pincher.
