Ribbed sleeve band

Join and clean finish the sleeve seam. Place short ends of ribbed band right sides together. Seam using triple straight stitch.  Press the seam open. Fold the band lengthwise wrong sides together and lightly press. Divide and mark the band and the sleeve into quarters. Pin the ribbed band to the sleeve, matching right sides together and quarter markings. Sew the band into place, stretching ribbing to fit sleeve. Use a overedge stitch and sew it in one step
