Baby Bird Hair Clips Embroidery Project

Make a set of hair clips for your little girl in her favorite color. The small embroidery is a perfect embellishment for almost any project and it is great for mending too! Add it as a patch to cover a tear in her favorite jeans!

To sew Baby Bird Hair Clips Embroidery Project you will need:

•      PFAFF® sewing and embroidery machine
•      Felt
•      INSPIRA® Dissolve-A-Way Stabilizer (Item no. 620113696) or other water soluble stabilizer
•      Rayon embroidery thread
•      Hair clips
•      Glue

Embroider and Assemble the Clips
Use a small hoop and hoop two layers of felt. The double layer will give better stability to the embroidery and ensure a nicer finish on the back side.

Place water soluble stabilizer on top of the fabric and baste in place using the baste function in your machine.

Embroider the little bird. Remove the fabric from the hoop. Remove excess stabilizer (Dissolve in water if necessary and let dry).

Trim the design close to the outer stitching - approximately ⅛" (3mm) away.

Glue the baby bird to the hair clips.
